Tanjung Batu Kundur

Kundur is small island located at Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. The capital city for this island called Tanjung Batu. Tanjung in english means Headland and Batu means Rock/Stone. Kundur island located at the south of Karimun Island, the also as a regency from some islands around there. I am a guy from this island, left this island almost 8 years, just back once or twice in a year.

Its still need a lot of development for this small city. Many of the young generation leave this city, after they graduated from Senior High School. Some of them looking the jobs at another city, and some of continue their study. One of the view you can find there is a lot of building for Swift.

This one is a building to produce the bird’s nest from the swift.


Before the sunset we can find a lot of Swift around the building.

    aku lama di tanjung batu,walau aku kelahiran batam tetapi dulu aku sekolah di tanjung batu….,sungai ungar.

    Im also from this Island, born in this Island. Even that Im not living there anymore. I will never forget about this Island. Home sweet home. I Think im the most lucky person from this island. Even now I live in the big city. but I still miss this Island very much!

    saya orang malaysia. tapi ada ramai saudara di kepulauan riau. tak pernah jumpa mereka.masa kecil ada sekali jumpa beberapa orang tapi saya yakin masih ramai ada disana. yang saya ingat nama tempat ialah tanjung batu kundur.saudara sebelah emak dan nenek. yang saya masih ingat namanya rukayah binti saadi. saya ada dengar saadi ni meninggal di laut. sesiapa yang kenal boleh hubungi saya melalui e mail
